Problems with Pro-Ject Debut III turntable - help needed?
I've got my woman a nice sinny new pro-ject Debut III turntable. We use to have a Kenwood KD-38R but many years ago it went to turntable heaven. However, it was linked to the phono input of the same amp (a technics SU-460) as the Coming out III is now. The trouble is I have just tried the Debut and it sounds "terrible" all distoted, volume low etc and yes it is in the phono input. Now I've tried a lousy maplin pre amp and that hasn't done the trick so does any body have an idea what is wrong - other than it being a crap turntable. FYI the amp is fine for everything else.
