reasonable want to know if the sound bar surround sounds is as good as they say compared to the older 7pc or w.e

The sound bar technology is always improving. If you are confined by interval and this is one option or the systems like the Bose 3.2.1. works in a similar fashion. If you have the room however nothing really beats a full surround setup.
