Whats the difference between the channels of a Dj mixer?
2 guide, 3 channel, 4 channel Dj mixer. whats the difference? What does the channels do? which one is better? I'm a beginner so i don't remember. thanx
Hi Dee,
The more channels there are on a mixer the more inputs you can run around through it. So a 2 channel mixer will be able to hook up to a maximum of 2 turntables. As your DJ skills advance you may want to add a 3rd and 4th turntable to your mixes in which happening you will need a mixer with more channels. Many DJs use a channel on the mixer to incorperate their library of tunes and samples from their laptop into their mix, using DJing software such as Ableton Current.
